June Baldwin
Legal Counsel
June M. Baldwin is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, of KCETLink Media Group. She joined KCET in 2004 and played a critical role in KCET’s merger with Link Media to form KCETLink. She was one of the lead strategists for the company’s participation in the FCC’s Incentive Auction that resulted in KCETLink receiving sizeable auction proceeds.
She serves as Assistant Secretary to the Board, is a member of the Investment Committee, and previously was responsible for the Human Resources Department.
Prior to joining KCET, Ms. Baldwin held Business Affairs positions at NBC,
United Paramount Network and Columbia TriStar Television and served as Head of Business Affairs for Johnny Carson, Norman Lear, Quincy Jones, and Aaron Spelling.
Ms. Baldwin is the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Corporate Law Departments Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She also serves as a Governor and Secretary of the Institute for Corporate Counsel and is a founding Board member and Treasurer of the Stop Bullying Foundation, Inc.
She was honored with the 2015 Corporate Counsel Leadership Award of the L.A. Black Women Lawyers Foundation and was recently presented with the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel 2018 General Counsel Public Service Award. Ms. Baldwin is honored to be part of the oral history project History Makers housed in the Library of Congress.
Ms. Baldwin has served on numerous boards throughout her career, including: the Hollywood Women's Political Committee; the Hollywood Policy Center; the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences; the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation; the California Women's Law Center; Planned Parenthood; the Archer School for Girls; Women in Film; the Women in Film Foundation; Artists For A New South Africa; the Coalition for At-Risk Youth; and the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association. She is a former Chair of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation’s Educational Program and Services Committee. For more than twenty years, she was a member of the NAACP Image Awards Nominating Committee.
A Philadelphia native, Ms. Baldwin is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
