Jeff Rich

Jeff is a serial entrepreneur and early stage venture capitalist. He is currently the founder and CEO of Xplore, founder and Managing Partner at Hemisphere Ventures, and founder and CEO of BrainyQuote.

Xplore is an agile space company dedicated to science. We are infinitely curious about our solar system and we believe in pushing the boundaries of human knowledge. Our mission is unfettered exploration.

Hemisphere Ventures is a family office run by Jeff and Lisa Rich dedicated to investing in frontier-technology: Space, Synthetic Biology, Robotics, Nanotechnology and Artificial Intelligence. Hemisphere has invested in over 200 early-stage companies including 12 in the space industry.

BrainyQuote was created in 2000 and has become the most extensive quotation resource ever built. The site and app reaches hundreds of millions of people each year and continues to evolve using advanced machine learning systems to manage the user experience and monetization.

Jeff's career started at the birth of the internet where he lead a teams at DDB, Neoglyphics and his own experience design firm that built many of the first internet sites for the Fortune 500.

Jeff earned his B.S. in Industrial Design, Strategic Planning and Information Architecture from the prestigious Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. The Institute of Design is the direct descendent of the Bauhaus from Germany and was created by Lazlo Moholy-Nagy and continued by Jay Doblin, the legendary design theorist who was Jeff's professor.
